Children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
Psalm 127:2
Children’s children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.
Proverbs 17:6

Continuing our Thanksgiving tribute, today I want to thank God for my family. Abba Father remains so faithful. I could never repay His goodness toward us.

My husband and I have been married forty-two wonderful years. Like all marriages, we’ve had our ups and downs. However, each new day cultivates a maturing love as we strive to keep God the center of our marriage.

We have two wonderful sons and daughters-in-law who have given us five adorable grandchildren. Pride fills our hearts as we recognize what amazingly strong young men our boys, Shawn and Kevin, have become. We could not ask for sweeter, more perfect wives for our sons. Jennifer and Vonda are a tremendous blessing to them and are a loving, vital addition to us and the family.

Our five grandchildren are the cream of the crop, completing our beautiful family. Austin, Regan, Anthony, Zachary, and Jacob are the light of our lives, bringing us immeasurable joy as we grow into our golden years.

God has blessed us abundantly with such a precious, loving family. Last spring we were fortunate to have them all together for a short time. We cherished each moment we had, sharing laughter, joy, and most of all, love!

I’m tremendously grateful to God for my family. Each one fulfills a unique significance, complementing our household, making it complete. Thank you, Father God, love reigns in our home!

For He has made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
2 Corinthians 5:21

Did you know if you have been born again and made Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, your Lord and Savior, you are righteous? How can that be? How can sinful mankind become righteous?

The word "righteous" means "in right standing." If you are born again and daily walking under His Lordship, you are in right standing with God. All your past sins are gone. Jesus took them to the cross with Him. You are covered by the precious blood of Jesus.

While in prayer one day, I saw myself kneeling at the throne of Grace. Only, I couldn't see me. I saw my whole body covered by a large vail. When the Father looks at us, all He sees is the Blood of His Son, Jesus.

1 Corinthians 1:30 tells us Jesus has become our righteousness. No matter what you have done in the past, it is covered by the His Blood. Regardless of your background, where you came from, or what church you attend, Father God does not see your faults or shortcomings. He sees the Blood.

Our enemy, the devil, may try to discourage us, reminding us of our sins of the past. Pay no attention to him. The Bible says he is the accuser of the brethren.

I read an account of Smith Wigglesworth years ago. He woke up in the middle of the night and heard a noise in the other room. Getting up, Smith walked into the living room and found Satan standing beside a large tag board. On it was a list of sins he had committed before he received Jesus as his Savior. Wigglesworth looked through the list, smiled, and said, "Oh, its you." Sauntering over to the list, and giving a little snicker, he wrote across the entire board in huge letters, "THE BLOOD." Smith then returned to bed, for a good night sleep.

Friend, you don't have to worry when the enemy brings up your past. You are covered by the Blood of Jesus. When you blow it, make a mistake, or fall short of biblical expectations, take courage. We all make mistakes. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

When we do blow it, simply come to Daddy God with a repentant heart. Ask His forgiveness and walk in the righteousness Jesus provided.

God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7

With school shootings, home invasions, terrorism, and other violent crimes on the rise, it’s no wonder fear grips the hearts of many around the world. We also face an uncertain economic future. What if the stock market crashes? What if all my investments take a nosedive? What if I lose my job? What if I get cancer? How will my family pay the medical bills?

Fear seeks to control our hearts so powerfully, it will manipulate our thinking process, the way we view situations, and even our very lives. Dwelling on the “what ifs” can eventually cause physical and mental problems.

But, I have good news for you today. Notice the opening scripture, “God has not given us the SPIRIT of fear.” It is a spirit and did NOT come from God. Fear comes from the enemy of our soul, the devil.

So, how do we deal with it? How do we overcome it? Look at the second part of verse 7, “but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Abba Father, Daddy God, has given us all the power, love, and sound mind we require to overcome any fear that my try to attach itself to us.

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear.” 1 John 4:18

God’s love toward us is perfect. When we learn to trust His perfect love implicitly, fear will no longer keep us bound. It will lose its power and control. Psalm 56:11 declares, “In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do to me.”

What fear has you dominated today? Give it over to a loving, caring Daddy God and watch Him begin to wash that fear away. Fear no longer has jurisdiction over you. You are a born again, blood bought child of the Most High God!

FEAR, BE GONE IN JESUS NAME!

"I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are your works, and that my soul knows very well."
Psalm 139:14

WE ARE SO BLESSED! I'm extremely thankful our precious Heavenly Father, Daddy God, knows how to get our attention. He created us all unique, gave us our individual personalities, quirks, and idiosyncrasies.

Therefore, He must deal with each one of us differently. If God dealt with me the way He dealt with my husband, I would inevitably walk away in tears because of His seemingly harsh corrections. Likewise, if the Lord dealt with my husband the way He dealt with me, Corbett probably wouldn't listen. He needs more direct, stern correction and I learn best with a more tender direction.

However, one day I ranted and raved to God about all the things which went wrong that day. "Can't you see what they're doing to me? YOU need to do something about this! YOU need to take care of this!"

Instantly, the Lord opened my spiritual eyes and I saw Him laughing hysterically. He was laughing at me and definitely got my attention!

You'll have to read Adventures with Abba to hear the rest of the story. However, the lesson I desire to bring out today is Daddy God loves you and made you unique. He knows how to deal with each of us individually to get our attention. He understands our makeup and what it will take to lead and guide us in the way we should go. After all HE CREATED YOU!

He knew you before the foundation of the world was made. Psalm 139:13 declares, "You formed my inward parts. You covered me in my mother's womb."

Daddy God formed every fiber of your being in your mother's womb. You were fearfully and wonderfully made, and He loves you. He knows you better than you know yourself.

We don't always appreciate His correction when it seems all hell has broken loose on us. But don't be afraid, our precious, loving Heavenly Father knows how to get our attention. And He will walk you through every trial and situation which comes our way.

Wherefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him a Name which is above every Name. That at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:9-11

When you were born again you confessed Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You became a new creature in Christ Jesus. But what have you done with your relationship with Him ever since? It takes more than simply a one time confession of Jesus being our Lord and Savior. Romans 12:1 tells us to present our bodies a living sacrifice to God. Then again, in Galatians 2:20 it says we have been crucified with Christ, and it's Jesus living in this body of flesh.

This sounds to me like an ongoing practice. We are to daily walk as if Jesus, the Son of the Living God has taken up residence inside us. The only way this comes about is if we habitually yield or humble ourselves to the Lordship or Ownership of Jesus Christ. "You have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body." 1 Corinthians 6:20

You are not your own any longer. As a slave is the sole property of his master, so you have been purchased with the precious blood of Jesus. You belong to Him.

I hear many people say they have the right to do what they want with their own bodies. They can live and act the way they want. They say it's their right and freedom. They are actually enslaved by their own desires. When we become Christians, the Holy Spirit fills and lives in us. Therefore, we no longer own our bodies. Jesus' death freed us from sin, but also obligates us to His service.

If you live in a rental house or in someone else's home, you must abide by the rules of the house. If you agreed to keep the house clean and take care of all yard work, you try not to violate the house rules. Because you belong to Almighty God, you are not to violate His standards, or commandments. Not that we don't make mistakes. We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. When we do blow it, and we will, His love, mercy, and grace are there for us. However, we are to strive to allow Jesus to live BIG in us on a daily basis.

Romans 6:14 tells us, "Neither yield your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin; but yield yourselves to God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God."

I encourager you today to humble yourself to His Ownership. Jesus is your Savior, now allow Him to be your LORD.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

God became the great Creator of everything that exists: heaven, earth, the sun, moon, and stars, the universe, and beyond. "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Genesis 1:1 He spoke everything into existence, until it came to mankind. He desired an offspring in likeness of Himself to love and fellowship together, Omnipotent God formed man out of the dust of the earth, then "breathed into him the breath of life and man became a living soul." Genesis 2:7

The Creator's love for mankind pulsed greatly through His veins, He created them, knowing His greatest creation would disobey Him. He loved us so passionately, before the earth was even formed, He designed a plan to bring reconciliation and peace between Himself and mankind.

He sent His only begotten Son to die, to pay the ultimate price for our disobedience. Jesus, God's only Son, lived a sinless life. He walked this earth only thirty-three years, teaching people of the Great Creator's love. The world hated Him because they didn't know Him or Father God. He was tortured, whipped and beaten beyond recognition, then crucified on an old rugged cross, taking all our sin and guilt to the grave. When God looked down at the cross He saw YOUR sins hanging there.

But, Hallelujah! Three days later the miraculous happened. The dynamite power of the Holy Spirit of God pulsed through Jesus' lifeless body. The Son of God came back alive, becoming the first born of a new creation. Jesus died so that you and I might live in fellowship with our loving, caring Heavenly Father.

We in ourselves can never be good enough to come to the Father. We are all born in sin and are in need of someone to stand in the gap for us. That's what Jesus did on the cross. "By grace are we saved through faith; and that not of ourselves. It is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

The Bible tells us that Jesus is the only way to God. "If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." Romans 10:9-10

Friend, if you have never turned your life over to Jesus, what are you waiting for? Today is your day of salvation. Today the Great Creator is waiting for you to give Him your heart. Are you ready to receive the greatest gift offered to mankind? Then pray this simple prayer and mean with your whole heart.

God, I believe You sent Your only Son to die on a cross for me. I believe You raised Jesus from the dead. Jesus, I come to You with all my sins, shortcoming, and filth. Be Lord of my life. Cleanse and purify me. God I accept You as my Heavenly Father, my Daddy God. I am Your child. Thank You Father God. In Jesus Name, Amen

If you have prayed this prayer for the first time, let me be the first one to welcome you into the family of God. 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new."

Whether you prayed this for the first time or as a rededication to the Lord, please let me know. I would love to hear from you and rejoice with you. The Bible says all of Heaven is now rejoicing over one person coming back to God. You are free from your past! YOU ARE LOVED!

He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalm 91:1

Psalm 91 is a very familiar passage to most Christians. There are many wonderful promises belonging to us as children of Almighty God. However, to receive these blessings, there is always a requirement. What must we do to be able to abide in the shadow of the Almighty?

We must dwell in the secret place of the Most High. Have you ever wondered what David meant when he penned, "in the secret place"?

A secret place is somewhere we go which no one knows about. When you were a child, did you ever have a secret club house? Or a treehouse where only a select few were invited? A place you could get away from the world and be alone? That was your secret place.

As adults, when you want to get away to be alone, where do you go? What do you do in your seclusion? Whatever you are doing in your "hideaway" becomes your secret place.

Many people enjoy getting alone with a good book. They can be drawn into another world and for a few moments escape life's demands. Some like to retreat to their closet, shut the door, and simply sit in the dark, bringing relaxation.

All these things are valid and accomplish their goal. However, they in themselves, don't cause us to abide in the shadow of the Almighty. They can't bring us closer to our Heavenly Father.

We must make Daddy God our secret place, our hiding place. Many times I go in my bedroom or office, shut the door and simply meditate on the greatness of my precious Abba Father. He becomes my secret place, my refuge.

When the world persecutes us because of our stance for right, who do we run to? Do we run to people or our precious Lord? I challenge you to allow Father God to become your secret place. Spend time in His Word and His presence. Learn to run to Him when the cares of this life become insurmountable. Learn to live in the secret place of the Most High.

You hear a lot about faith these days. The Bible puts great emphasis on it, but how well do we, as the body of Christ, understand faith. The Word says in Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please Him; for He that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." We must have faith to please God or even come to Him. What is this faith? And, how do we get it?

God tells us exactly what faith is in Hebrews 11:1

"Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

The Moffatt translation says this: Faith means that we are confident of what we hope for, convinced of what we do not see.

The Amplified Bible says, "Faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things we hope for, being the proof of things we do not see and the conviction of their reality (faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses).

Faith put simply is trusting God to do what He said. It's knowing our Father God, Abba Father, will bring about His Word. It's one thing to believe there is a God, a creator of the universe, however, it's completely different from experiencing a personal love-relationship with Daddy God.

Faith is the assurance, the confirmation, the title deed of things we hope for. Even though you may not see it, hear it, touch it, taste it, feel it, or smell it, you know it's yours because we TRUST our Daddy God to do what He said.

How do we get faith? Romans 10:17 explains, "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."

Faith in God and His Word come by hearing, and hearing, and hearing, and hearing the Word of God. Scientist say we must hear something seven times before it becomes itched in our memories. In other words, we must hear the Word over and over and over, to have faith in what it says. According to Romans 12:3 God has given to everyone a measure of faith. The more you hear the Word of God, the greater your faith will become.

When you first came to know the Lord as your personal Savior it was by faith. Romans 10:9-10, "If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." You believed, trusted, or had faith in Jesus with all that is within you, to become your Savior, your Lord. Then speaking it forth, you sealed the deal. You became born again, by faith.

YOU HAVE FAITH TODAY! You are responsible for growing your faith. Hear the Word of God by reading it aloud, hearing audio scriptures, listening to sermons and lessons from the Bible. Begin to TRUST God to answer your prayers and to do what He said in His Word.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

Before my husband and I began traveling in the ministry, this became one of my favorite verses. We were facing new territory and my greatest fear was making sure I heard the voice of God clearly to direct our paths. While in prayer I saw four or five footprints in front of me with the last one faded out. Immediately the Lord spoke to my heart and said, "Don't be afraid. I will direct your steps. I will show you the direction you should go when you need to know it."

Ecstatic,we knew He would be leading and guiding us all the way, I had received a great peace that day knowing He was in control. Everywhere we went, we recognized God's spirit drawing us as we obediently followed. He lovingly opened doors we never dreamed could happen.

How do we know we are walking in His will? The Bible tells us there are some prerequisites. We are to trust in the Lord, not what we understand. He will never lead us astray. Psalm 37:23 says, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord; and he delights in His way."

Ask yourself these questions today. Am I trusting God to direct me or am I walking in my own understanding of where I should go and what I'm supposed to do? Do I delight myself in the Lord and give Him first place in my life?

If you can answer honestly to the best of your ability, then you can be assured God IS directing your path. He will never lead you wrong. Yes, we make mistakes, but, thank God, our precious Lord and Savior is bigger than any mistakes we can make. He knows how to get us to the place where He needs us to go. Don't expect Him to reveal everything all at once. If He told us everything at the beginning, we would blow it by trying to make it come to pass in our own way.

Rely on Him, not your own understanding. Allow Him to lovingly lead as you follow unconditionally. Trust Him today. He will never fail you. Relax, your steps are ordered of the Lord!

Imagine yourself on death row. The jury found you guilty of a horrendous crime and now you face the ultimate penalty, death. Just days before sentence was to be carried out, someone walked in, stood in front of your cell and shouted, "Not guilty! Set this person free!" How would that make you feel?

The truth is the whole human race is guilty of disobeying the laws of God. Romans 3:23 says, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." All of mankind is on God's "death row". The penalty for breaking God's holy law is death.

However, Jesus, God's only Son, paid the death penalty for YOU and every man, woman, boy and girl from the beginning to the end of time. You were on God's death row until Jesus died for you. If you have invited Jesus Christ into your heart and asked Him to forgive you of all your past sins, at that moment you were declared "NOT GUILTY" by God Himself. It's as if Jesus walked up to your cell door on death row and shouted, "Not guilty! This person is free from all their wrong doings!

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death." Romans 8:13

Thank God, the price Jesus paid on the cross bought our freedom. If you have received Jesus as your personal Savior, you are no longer condemned. Without Jesus we would have no hope. But Praise God, He has declared us "not guilty" and has offered us freedom from sin and power to do His will.

If you have never received Jesus as your personal Savior, He wants to relieve you of your guilt and shame. Romans 10:9-10 declares, "If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

Do you believe Jesus is the only begotten Son of God and that God raised Him from the dead? Confess Him as YOUR Lord and Savior today and the Bible says you shall be saved. When you do this with your whole heart, you will receive the power to live for Him, because Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, takes up residence in you. Father God now declares you, NOT GUILTY. You are FREE from your past. You are a child of the Most High God.

Now what will we do with this God-given freedom?

If you have prayed this prayer for the first time or have rededicated you life back to God, please let me know. The Bible tells us all of heaven rejoice when one person turns their life over to Jesus. I would love to rejoice along with you.

May you be continually blessed as you continue to seek Jesus and walk according to His Word.

Have you ever wondered what God has in store for you, His child? Do you ever sit and ponder what eternity with our Heavenly Father and Savior will be like? 1 Corinthians 2:9 declares, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love Him."

According to the Bible our future is very bright! The most awesome things we can imagine can't hold a candle to what Daddy God has planned for those who love Him. Verse 10 goes on to say, "For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God."

Who can know the depths of God? It's impossible to fully comprehend the fullness of Almighty God. It comes from an infinite being to finite, from the unlimited, all powerful Creator, to limited man. The only way we can begin to scratch the surface of Abba Father's plan for us is by revelation through the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit teaches us the supernatural things of God and His plan for our lives both now and eternity.

As you spend time in prayer and in His Word, the precious Holy Spirit will begin to reveal His love, His will, His plan for you here on this earth and through eternity. I encourage you to seek Him today. Allow the revelation knowledge of the Holy Spirit to permeate your being. Expect Him to speak to you through His Word by the power of the Holy Spirit who resides in all that are born again.

"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him." 1 John 3:1

This is one of my favorite verses in Daddy God's Word to us. Who are we? If we have been born again, given our lives over to Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God, we are children of the Most High God. The Almighty God, Creator of the universe, has LAVISHED His love upon us, His children.

The Amplified Bible says it this way, "See what an incredible quality of love the Father has given (shown, bestowed on) us, that we should be permitted to be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! The reason that the world does not know (recognize, acknowledge) us is that it does not know (recognize, acknowledge) Him."

Wow! That says a mouthful. Because of what Jesus did for us a Calvary, we are now children of the One and Only True and Living God! He has permitted us to be called His children. The world doesn't understand us because the never understood Jesus when He walked this earth.

I like the word "lavished." The dictionary describes it as, "abundance, very generous or liberal in giving, as torrential rain, unstinted." God's never-ending love for us is as abundant as torrential rain. Even though we did nothing to deserve such an honor, our self-worth is based on the fact that God loves us and calls us His children. We don't have to wait until eternity to receive such a blessing, we are His children here and now in this life.

No matter what we've gone through, how many times we have blown it, or how often we've made mistakes, God's love and mercy is there for us. Not for anything we've done, but because of what HE has done on the cross.  All we have to do is go to Him, ask His forgiveness, repent, and receive His forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 states, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleans us from all unrighteousness."

Knowing we are His children should encourage us to live as Jesus lived. If we love Him, we will strive to live, walk, and talk as Jesus did on this earth. Because Daddy God lavished His love on us, so ought we to lavish His love on the world.

Jesus always pointed people to the Father. We are to be doing the same, pointing people to Daddy God, Abba Father. As God daily lavishes His love on us, so should we be lavishing His love on others. All who are born again have experienced God's torrential rain of love poured out on their life. You have become children of the Most High God. Now I encourage you to walk in that continual blessing and share it with others.

Hebrews 4:16
Let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

How do we approach the throne of God, the Creator of the universe, with confidence? It is only through prayer, in the Name of our Mediator, our substitute, our High Priest, Jesus Christ.

Some Christians find it difficult to come before the Great Creator with boldness and confidence. They sheepishly come in fear, afraid to ask Him for help when they are in need. Others pray flippantly, with little thought of what our precious Savior went through to provide for our needs to be met.

The previous verses tell us our High Priest has been "tempted in every way, just as we are - yet was without sin." He knows what we're going through. He knows how hard it is to stand under the ongoing temptations of this sinful world. Jesus became our High Priest, offering His own body on the altar of sacrifice, presenting His precious, sinless blood before Almighty God for the remission of our sins. He paid the price, so that we may be found righteous in the sight of Father God.

We may now come boldly, with reverent confidence because our King Jesus became our substitute. It is with bold assurance we humbly approach the Father's throne to receive whatever help we need.

What kind of help do you require from Father God today? Come boldly in prayer today, with confidence to receive mercy, and find grace to help in your time of need. He is listening and ready to answer!

God's promises are for each and everyone of His children.

2 Peter 1:3-8
His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. Through these He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith, goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What are His promises toward us? His precious Word is full of divine promises, but today we want to deal with just this passage. Daddy God has given us the power to live holy lives in this world. Will we still make mistakes? Of course, we're imperfect humans capable of the most horrendous sinful acts. However, Abba Father has given US the power to overcome these worldly temptations. His power is there, now it's up to us to learn to walk in it.

God has given each of us THE measure of faith. We are to develop faith into goodness, or good works. Faith takes work. The Bible tells us our faith is measured by our works. If our faith is strong, we will continue to work to promote the Kingdom of God. Then our faith will develop into goodness. What do people see when they look at us? Do they see someone who is continually doing good things to help others?

We must add to our goodness, knowledge. The best way to receive knowledge is be being in God's Word. Find out what His Word tells us to do, then do it. This develops into self-control. When temptations come along, we will already know what the Word of God tells us to do and be doing good works so it becomes easier to keep our old sinful nature under control.

This leads us into perseverance. It's learning to stand fast in what we have learned. Continue working to build the Kingdom until we see the fruit of our labor. When we have persevered, we will become a godly people. Others will look at us and see Christ living in us.

The Bible also tells us, others will know we are Christians by our love toward one another and the world. When we have persevered in living a holy life, brotherly kindness and love will come forth. We can build a strong foundation, cultivating these attributes by the power given us by our Heavenly Father.

We are sinful humans and we make plenty of mistakes. However, God has promised the power to overcome these temptations. If you want to escape the consequences of evil worldly desires and participate in the divine nature of God, make every effort to develop your faith. Make your calling and election sure today. If we do these things we won't fail. We may falter, but not fail. Daddy God is here to help us in our daily walk. All we must do is rely on Him.

"What's my calling in life?" This is the question I hear most among Christians of all ages. It's something we all struggle with at one time or another. "Am I supposed to be in full-time ministry?" "Does God want me to be an evangelist or missionary?" "What does God want me to do with my life?"

I have good news for you today. I can tell you exactly what your calling in life is. In fact, I can tell you what both your callings are! "What? I have two callings?" Yes. According to scriptures, you have two specific things that every Christian is to be doing.

1. I Corinthians 1:9 declares, God is faithful, by whom you were called unto fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
Your first and foremost calling while on this earth is fellowship with Jesus, the Son of God. He longs for a personal relationship with you. He is so intent on being with you, He died on a cross, paying the price for every sin of all mankind. He paid your debt for sin, infusing righteousness into your eternal soul, that anyone who accepts this free gift will live with Him throughout eternity.

We develop this relationship by studying His Holy Word, the Bible, and through prayer. Just as in any other relationship, the more time you spend with Him the better you get to know Him. Seek Him and you will find Him, Draw close to Him and He will draw closer to you.

2. The second calling God has placed on your life is found in Mark 16:15, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Everyone is called to be an evangelist. This is not to say we are all called to leave our homes and family to travel around the world sharing the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He didn't say we are all to be missionaries in foreign countries. Jesus said, "go" to our neighbor, "go" to the people we work with, "go" to those we attend school with.

Each one of us have a group of people whom we have influence over. You don't know the people whom I know and I don't know those whom you know. Acts 1:8 tells us, we will receive power when the Holy Spirit is imparted into our eternal soul. This is power is to become witnesses in our homes, our neighborhoods, in our city, our state, and beyond, as the Lord leads.

While fulfilling these two commissions, Father God will lead and guide you into any other areas as He wills. Spend time building an intimate relationship, deep fellowship, so that you can fulfill the great commission of sharing the Good News of the Gospel with others. Then watch as He opens doors for you to share your faith with those you come in contact with.

Whatever you choose in life, do it all as unto the Lord. If you're a plummer, do your best and share the Gospel with your clients and fellow workers. If you're an instructor, teach your students what it means to be full of faith, love, joy, and God's peace.

What's your calling in life? Fellowship with God's Son and sharing your faith with others. Everything else in your life is built on these truths. Now go and fulfill your calling!

I am crucified with Christ, yet I live. And the life I live now in this flesh is by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20

This has been one of my favorite scriptures. The Lord dealt with me over this verse for several months until one day I realized this passage changed my life. I use be very hard on myself. If something went wrong, it was my fault. I was to blame. After praying Galatians 2:20 over myself as the Lord directed me, for about six months, someone said things which before would have been very devastating. It didn't bother me a bid. I was more bothered by the fact it didn't bother me! LOL

That night after everyone had gone to bed, I began to pray. "Lord, I don't understand! Why didn't this bother me?"

"Haven't I had you praying Galatians 2:20 over yourself? I'm allowing you to experience the tip of the iceberg of what this verse really means," the Lord gently informed me.

My life has never been the same sense! To find out more of this story and others:

As I worshipped the Lord one day while driving, He opened my spiritual eyes for a small glimpse into His realm. I saw a huge majestic-looking room. A massive marbled staircase led up to the throne of Almighty God, who sat imperially on His throne. I could make out the figure of a man, but features seemed to disappear in the emanating radiance of this Light Being. God reached out His loving arms to a small child struggling to climb up the gargantuan staircase toward Him.

To this three year old, the staircase seemed colossal and quite an enormous feat. She climbed a few steps and stumbled. Climbed a few more steps and tripped again. Each time the little girl faltered, she would pick herself up and look toward her Heavenly Father. Finally reaching her goal, she didn't hesitate, but crawled right up in her Daddy God's lap. He instantly wrapped His big, strong, loving arms around her as she sank deep into His embrace, enjoying the peace and safety of a loving grasp only He could give.

Suddenly realizing the little girl was me, I had to giggle with excitement. The love and security I felt at that moment surpassed any devotion an earthly parent could give. Peace filled the inside of my car. I felt like a little child, without a care in the world.

Friend, I want you to realize today, if you are born again and have invited Jesus Christ to come into your heart, you are a child of the Most High God. His love for you is far beyond any earthly parent could give. As parents we strive to provide a loving, nurturing environment in which our children may grow and flourish. However, we are mere humans and fall short of our Father God's love.

DADDY GOD LOVES YOU with an everlasting love. No matter what you've done He will always be there, beckoning you back to Him. Have you fallen or made mistakes? Are you troubled with the cares of this life? cCrawl up into Daddy God's lap today and be wrapped with His big, strong, loving arms. Allow His peace and love to saturate you. Permit Him to kiss all the hurts and booboos of this life away.

Watching the news or reading the daily paper can get depressing. If we focused on all the terrible things going on the world today it would be easy to allow fear to grip our hearts. But Jesus reminded us His peace is available to us each day simply by believing and trusting in Him. He told us not to let our heart be troubled or afraid. Evidently this is a choice we can make!

Jesus gave us peace! We can choose to walk in fear or in peace. It's up to us to allow the peace that passes all understanding to flood our heart. I choose to not walk in fear but to have His peace He has provided! How about you?

I am awestruck by the overwhelming goodness of our precious Lord Jesus. Exactly one year ago this month our first book, Adventures with Abba, came available to the public. It was a long rigorous journey, but God is faithful in bringing about His word.

Many years ago, the Lord laid on my heart to write down all these adventures He led us through and revealed to us. One Sunday evening, a guest speaker came to minister at our church. After the sermon, he proceeded to call a few people out of the congregation to prophecy over them. Unsuspectingly, he pointed directly toward me.

"You, yes, you! The Lord wants to tell you something," he began, taking me by the hand and leading me to the front.

Instantly, I started weeping, knowing deep in my spirit God was about to reveal His word to me.

"You are a writer," he continued. "Just as God told Habakkuk in Habakkuk 2:2, you are write the vision. Make it clear so those who read it may run with it. The revelation is yet for an appointed time. You are to keep a pen and tablet by your bed. Be ready to write down all the things the Lord is showing you."

Even though I had never told anyone except my pastor, this evangelist reiterated everything God had already spoken to my heart. Adventures with Abba is the fruition of the Lord's instructions.

We serve a Faithful God. In HIS time, He brought His work into completion. Why He chose my husband and me to speak to and through, I'll never understand. We are nothing on our own. We are like a conduit, a faucet through which the living waters of the Holy Spirit can flow. No one ever praises the faucet! It's the water which brings refreshing, thirst-quenching relief to the dry, parched soul.

Be encouraged today! Whatever assignment God has given you to do, be assured He will bring it into fruition in HIS time. Never give up! Don't let Satan or anyone else sway you from your goal. Abba Father is helping you accomplish His will and His word in your life. Hold tight to His promises, and in the proper time, He will bring it to completion.

Remember playing "hide and seek" as a child? Hiding your eyes, you would count to ten while everyone else scampered frantically, finding the perfect place to hide. Completing your countdown, you yell out, "Ready or not, here I come!"

According to everything I've read and understand about the end times. No one knows the specific day or time, however, I believe Jesus is coming very soon to take the church out of here. Oh, what a glorious day that will be! What joy, gladness, excitement, and elation as we see our Savior face to face. He is returning for those who are watching and waiting for Him.

It's as if Jesus is standing with one foot in heaven and the other is ready to step over the boundary into the atmosphere and shout, "Come up here with Me!"

I Thessalonians 4:16-17 "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be wit the Lord." The Bible tells us to encourage one another with these words. One of these days, Jesus will shout, "Ready or not, here I come!

Are you ready?

Have you ever had a bad habit, something in your life you knew you needed to quit or get rid of but couldn't seem to shake? Mine was putting up with drivers who had no business being on the road. "That so-in-so better drive it or park it. Why don't they either give up their license or go back to driver's training school. Where did they get their license anyway, Walmart?"

Ecclesiastes 7:9 declares, "Be not hasty in your spirit to be angry; for anger rests in the bosom of fools." Ouch! How quick we are to get angry at others when we ourselves can be just a guilty in other areas. The Lord really convicted me of this. Personally, I would rather not have anger rest in my bosom (spirit). We are to be a light in a dark world, the salt of the earth. How can we be light and salt if we have anger in our spirit.

The old saying goes, "It's better to keep quiet while people wonder who's the fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." What rests in your bosom?

Can we walk without fear while in the midst of the fire?

Thousands of people anxiously watched as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, hands tied securely behind their backs, were led down a long wooden-planked ramp into a large earthen oven. Flames shot out of the oven, so intense, the soldiers standing near the opening were overtaken by the immense heat and collapsed.

I watched the three young men joyfully walk toward the fiery furnace. A bounce in their steps, they praised God as they went. Without hesitation, the brave young zealots sprang into the blazing inferno, seemingly elated to suffer for their Master. Instantly, Jesus appeared alongside them in the towering hellhole.

Isaiah 43:1-3
Fear not, for I have redeemed you, I have called you by name; you are Mine. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you, for I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

No matter what you're facing, Jesus, your Conquering King, is doing battle for you. Nothing is too great or small for Him to be concerned. As you come to Him with childlike faith, you can rejoice and walk in victory. You can trust Him. Your King has already won the battle. Now walk in the victory He has provided.
